July in Review!

Barnstable County Fair
Yeasterday evening we went to the Barnstable County Fair. We pet animals,went on rides,ate yummy food and watched some great shows.
Lily loved the giant trampoline. While Both lily and Aj went round and round on the bear ride. We all went on the ferris wheel together.
Ridding a camel and holding chicks was fun.
Daddy and Aj loved watching the motorcycles. Climbing in tractors and army cars was fun too. We also saw a frisbee dog show.

Madeline
While reading the book Madeline we learned about France, our bodies and much more. Take a look at the activities we did along with the book.
Science( health)- We decided to google what an appendix is and where it was located. The kids also did a work sheet on how to stay healthy.Then we made blueberry smoothies.
Social studies(culture)- We read a book and watched a movie about France. We also watched Madeline the movie. Eating chocolate croissants was yummy.
Mathematics(sorting,size)- Lily and Aj lined up their dolls and animals from smallest to biggest just like in the book. They also played a sorting game and a game using shapes.

Lilys investigation
Lily woke up and asked me for a bucket filled with soapy water and paper towels so she could do an investigation. I just watched what she was doing.
First she rubbed her hands in dirt. Then she tried to get the dirt off with the paper towel. She carefully inspected her hands and said they still are dirty. She decided to wash her hand with soap and water and then dry them . She inspected her hands again and said they are germ free. She then told Aj all about her experiment. Lily was so proud of herself.
After she finished she asked if we could walk to the beach because she wants to investigate more...
