Happy 4th of July

We had so much fun with family and friends celebrating this holiday.

We watched fireworks and ate hotdogs at the mashpee family cookout.

We went to a cookout where we ate food, threw water balloons, played in a bounce house and on slide, got ice cream and had fun.

Lily and Aj put tattoos on and they decorated cookies.

We also made pictures of fireworks and read a book.

July Book Station

This month I decided to pick books about Marine biology, sea life, France and the Forth of July. I also added books about summer, seasons and the gingerbread man.Lily picked books about insects, princess, and American dolls. Aj wants to read Bateman, trucks and Dr. Seuss.

The Glorious Flight

While reading The Glorious Flight we learned about many different things! Take a look at the activitys we did!

Social Studies(geography,culture,history,flags)-We learned where France and England were on the world map. We also were introduced to the cliffs of Dover and the English channel. Lily drew a picture of the Franch Flag. We read a few books about France.

Mathematics(Roman numerals)-We learned how to write the Roman numerals 1-5.

Science(flying,inventions)- We learned about Benjamin Franklin and what contributions he made to the world. Lily and Aj talked about Gravity, flying and the different ways to travel. We made paper kites and flew kites. We completed a worksheet on air, read a ton of books and watched a movie about Gravity also. Trying on head phones pilots wear while flying was fun.
