Solar Eclipse 2017

What a wonderful day learning about the solar eclipse!

The kids watched a movie and read a book They also did a worksheet and made some art work. Then we went to Heritage Museum and garden to watch the eclipse with friends. They had a blast watching a live streaming video and watching the eclipse with tons of different kinds of viewers. They used cereal boxes, colanders and glasses...

Chapter 4- Mystery Yarn

Chapter 4-Mystery Yarn

Chapter Summary-
The town is in a flutter and the county fair is coming up. There is a contest to see who has the biggest ball of yarn. The winner gets to marry Miss Terwillger. Miss Terwillger wins the contest and decides to marry Homers Uncle.

What we will cover in this chapter-
Language Arts- Review Questions
Mathematics- Measuring
Field Trip- County Fair

Language Arts- Review Quesions
The kids completed a review question worksheet about the chapter.

Mathematics-
The kids did 2 pages in their math book. They also did a couple worksheets about measuring. They measured using yarn, rulers and measuring tape. They also had a contest to see who could create the biggest yarn ball in 1 minute. It was a tie!!  


































Field Trip- 
We went to the Barnstable County Fair. The kids saw animals, went on rides and had tons of fun.
