Learning about Renoir

The artist we have been learning about the last couple weeks is Renoir. We read some books about his life and work. We learned what impressionist painting is. Lily and Aj colored a picture of one of his works of art. They also learned that when Renoir was young he painted plates for a job. We decided to try painting plates too!

When we went to Nana and Papas house for dinner one night. The kids were talking to Papa about Renoir. He said that he had a Renoir painting in their house.Lily and Aj got to look at it and talk about it with papa.The kids thought this was pretty neat!!
