Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today is St. Patrick's Day. We had A lot of Irish fun. We did a sensory bin activity, read books, colored pictures and had a yummy leprechaun lunch and a traditional Irish dinner.

We did an experiment with gel balls the day before. After putting little pellets in a container of water they got bigger and the next day they turned into marble sized balls.

Sensory play- On St. Patrick's Day I used the gel balls along with ice, water, measuring spoons and cups to create a fun play station for the kids. They loved it and played with this activity for a couple hours. The kids also added some cars and trucks for more fun!

We had a yummy Leprechaun lunch which consisted of green mac and cheese, celery with peanut butter and animal cookies and a strawberry, blueberries fruit cup!

Next we colored pictures, made crafts and traced shamrocks.

Then the kids watched movies and read books.

For dinner we had corn beef, cabbage with soda bread and for desert shamrock sugar cookies.
