Mt. Vernon, Virginia

We had the opportunity to see George Washington's home and grave site in Virginia. It was an amazing experience. 

While we were there they had the first fox and hound race since Washington was in office going on. (They did not use a real fox because of  animal cruelty). We watched the race and then got to meet the horses!

In the museum we saw many artifacts including Washington's false teeth!

Presidents Day 2014

Presidents day this year we reviewed the presidents we already know about. These presidents include: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, JFK, Barack Obama and Theodore Roosevelt. We also learned about how Thomas Jefferson started the first library and was our 3rd president! ( kids haven't learned about him before)


We also made pictures of George Washington!
