After Finishing the story of Betsy Ross ,we decided to take a trip to Philadelphia to see where Betsy Ross lived and the history of the city!
First stop was the Free Library of Philadelphia. We wanted to brush up on Philadelphia history before our adventure began. We found lots of interesting books on Pennsylvania and History.
Next stop was the Franklin Institute to see a statue of Ben Franklin, Ben Franklin's eye glasses and many other interesting exhibits.
Then off to Historic Philadelphia where we saw statues and played on playgrounds.
Next was the National Constitution Museum. We watched a theater production, and saw the hall of delegates and a copy of the constitution. (Pictures were prohibited in most areas of the museum)
Then we walked to Betsy Ross's house and Elfrethy's Ally and saw a statue along the way.
The kids loved the First Fire Station of Philadelphia.
We also stopped at the Quaker Meeting house.
We also saw Ben Franklin's Grave and many other statues.
The Liberty Bell and Constitution Hall was up next.
Last stop was the Philadelphia museum of Art. We saw many interesting works of art by Paul Revere, William Hicks and many other artists.
At the airport playing before our flight!
We really enjoyed our time In Philadelphia. It was such a great opportunity to read about Betsy Ross, then to see where she lived and all the history that Philadelphia has in its city!
Thanks for reading!
