Presidents Day 2016

The kids had a fun day learning about Presidents day. They worked together to put together a puzzle of the white house. They also colored pictures and read books. Their favorite project was a making collage of Abraham Lincoln using paint, crayons and construction paper.

We talked about what we would do if  we were president. Then Lily and Aj wrote a story and drew picture about what they would do. They also learned about president George W Bush. We read books and used our president flash cards.

Presidents Day 2014

Presidents day this year we reviewed the presidents we already know about. These presidents include: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, JFK, Barack Obama and Theodore Roosevelt. We also learned about how Thomas Jefferson started the first library and was our 3rd president! ( kids haven't learned about him before)


We also made pictures of George Washington!

Presidents Day 2013

Presidents day this year I decided to teach Lily and Aj about a president they haven't learned about yet. I picked John F Kennedy. Since we live in so close to the Kennedy Library we went on a field trip to Boston to learn about this president!


We explored the museum and learned a lot about our 35th President!




We also talked about the presidents we already know who are George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Lily and Aj Enjoyed doing a paper plate craft of Abraham Lincoln. We Read tons of books and watched a movie leading up to presidents day!

Presidents day fun!

Presidents day! Today we made President Lincoln's log cabin and a paper quilt. We looked at some great books, listened to music, and played outside.
