History and Geography- Henri Becquerel
They learned about Henri Becquerel by reading worksheets and completing a timeline. We used Kids Connect for worksheets.

Science- Uranium
We watched two videos on Uranium. They were What is Uranium? And How Uranium Becomes Nuclear Fuel? The kids also created an Acrostics Poem about what they learned about Uranium.

Thanks for reading! Chapter 9 is up next!

Marie Curie- Chapter 7: Changes

Chapter Summary-
Marie begins doing scientific research for pay. She studies magnets and works in a space located in the school science lab. There she meets her future husband, Pierre Curie. Pierre is fascinated with marie and enjoys her company. She receives a second masters degree in mathematics and prepares to go home. Pierre convinces Marie she  can help Poland though her research in Paris and they Marry. ]

What we will cover in this chapter-
Science- Magnets
Science- Crystals

Science- Magnets
Marie is studying steal and Magnetic properties. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about magnets. Lily and Aj watched aThe science of Magnets for kids and completed a reading comprehension worksheet from education.com.

Science- Crystals
Pierre was studying the structures of crystals. We decided to make our own crystals and watch them grow.

Final Crystals- The green container was spilled over so it didn’t make as many. The Purple made a lot of crystals. The Crystals where smaller then we thought they would be..but it was still a fun experiment.
